For holiday party spirit…without the spirits (non-alcoholic drink recipes)

Mistletoe chill

Chop ice cubes in blender. Add cranberry juice. Mix. Add raspberry sherbet and eggnog. Pour strawberry daiquiri mixer into blender. Liquefy for 1 minute. Dip the rim of 8-ounce glass into mixture, then dip glass rim into sugar. Pour mixture into glass. Serve with peppermint stick.

Banana nog

Peel and cut up banana. Place in freezer container or bag; freeze till firm. In blender container, combine milk, ice milk, banana and vanilla extract. Cover and blend till smooth. Sprinkle each serving with nutmeg. For Tropical Banana Nog, prepare as above, except add ¼ teaspoon coconut extract and omit nutmeg. Garnish with½ teaspooon toasted coconut. For Orange-Banana Nog, prepare as above, except substitute orange juice for the milk.

Hawaiian christmas

Blend until piña colada mix is dissolved. Chill until cold.

The other collins

In a tall glass stir together lemon juice, sugar and  rum flavoring. Add ice cubes. Pour carbonated water down side of glass. Garnish with a maraschino cherry and an orange slice.

Snow white russian

In a cocktail glass combine the coffee, powdered sugar and vanilla. Stir until the sugar dissolves. Stir in half-and-half or light cream. Add ice cubes.

Sunrise sipper

Place crushed ice in a tall glass. Stir together carbonated water, orange juice and lime juice. Pour over ice in the class. Pour in the grenadine syrup. Stir before serving.

Holiday delight

Blend all ingredients and pour into a tall glass.

Frosty virgin margaritas

Pour half the juices and ginger ale into a blender. Add some ice cubes and blend; add ice until desired consistency. Repeat. Serve in large goblets. Garnish with round of lime. (24 servings

Mint kiss

Blend ingredients until smooth. Pour into cocktail glass and decorate with strawberry.

Virgin mary

Pack old fashioned glass with ice. Add one drop Tabasco sauce, dash of Worcestershire sauce, dash of lemon juice or Roses Lime Juice. Fill with tomato juice and garnish with lemon twist and lime wedge.

Houdini cocktail

Beat ice cream and milk until foamy-thick in blender, pour in glasses. Pour 2 teaspoons grenadine syrup from spoon down inside each glass. (Forms a bright crimson layer at the bottom.) Garnish with strawberries. (2 servings)

Miami vice

Pour ½ ounce chocolate syrup and 2 ounces of root beer over ice. Stir. Add 2 ounce half-and-half and fill to the top with cola.

Noon on the equator

Combine all ingredients in cocktail shaker and add ice cubes. Shake well and strain into glasses.

Skinny mary

Pour tomato and sauerkraut juice over ice cubes in glass. Add Worcestershire sauce and stir. Serve at once. (1 serving)

Spiced grape juice

Combine all of the ingredients and heat over a very, very low flame. Do not boil. Let the juice sit on the flame, stirring occasionally, until it is hot. The longer the drink is on the flame the more the spices have a chance to combine with the juice (about 3 hours is ideal). Strain the spices out of the juice. You may serve it hot, or serve it cold. A slice of lemon goes great with it. (SDS)

Sparkling cranberry cooler

In a glass pitcher, combine all ingredients except soda, stirring to mix. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or until well chilled. To serve, stir in soda and add ice, if desired. Serve immediately. (4 servings) (SDS))

Skinny fruit whirl

Whirl all ingredients in blender until smooth. Makes 1 quart. May be frozen to make a sherbet.

Creamsicle smoothie

Blend all in blender until smooth. (SDS)

Blend and enjoy!
